Result
- Line depressurization from 50bar → 20bar (by the Customer) and consequently from 20bar → 0bar (by SIVAM) by means of a thermo-combustor (torch with a visually and acoustically shielded flame) with a flow rate of 80,000 Nm3 / day.
- Using two nitrogen generators at the same time, nitrogen was blown and the line was padded from two different points upstream of the comb object of the intervention (pict. 2 and 3), displacing methane gas in about 3-4 hours and reaching complete inertization in about 8hr.
- At the same time, real-time monitoring is carried out through the sampling section, located downstream of the lines to be stuffed and before the flare, equipped with H2S-O2-CH4-CO2 multigas sensor.
- Coordination of sub-contractors for auxiliary services (cranes and lifters, inspections).
- Subsequent cold cut with chamfer to remove the central valve.
- Flange welding to accommodate new valve, performed with two TIG beads and five electrode closure beads, according to qualifications 141: ISO 636-A and 135: ISO 14341-A.
- NDT inspection with penetrating and magnetoscopic liquids, as well as radiographs of the welds performed.
- Supervision with the customer of the final re- testing of the restored line with pressure test recordings by manorecorder and multigas sampling in the affected areas.

Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) technology It is able to ensure a production of 106 Nm3 / h of nitrogen in the gaseous phase at a pressure
of 7 bar (G) and a purity of 95%.
The purity of the nitrogen produced can be set on the panel and can even reach 99.999%; the range will obviously vary accordingly, in relation to the degree of purity required.
